I now have leaves on my paint tent roof. I've got paint rags hanging -- just like brushes, they're covered in paint spits and I love them as little pieces of art. I'm thinking of photographing the rags (and my cardboard paint surfaces) and turning those images into prints or fabric designs for new leggings!! 💕
I settle into my art space (whether it's a studio, a tent or a tiny bedroom, or even a corner of a living room when I'm a guest in someone's house) by gradually filling the space with color. Spot by spot it feels like my own. It's the spills and mistakes that happen accidentally that build up the vibes of the space...not the controlled planned stuff. IT'S THE MISTAKES THAT GIVE MAGIC VIBES TO YOUR ART AND TO THE SPACE YOU'RE CREATING IN. 🖌🍃
Simple little pleasures...like how a colorful rag hangs from the roof are what make the experience of making art so enjoyable. Its these little 'decorations' and tools that make the art space feel like home, familiar, welcoming your creativity to flow. As an artist, mess is a good thing!!! 😘
